Ilubiung is an art project, which is held at Kampung Kreatif Dago Pojok. In Ilubiung Project #1, we responded the
atmosphere at one of the Kampung Kreatif's alley.
The pitch-dark alley at night was the main problem
and we tried to solve it by creating some art workshops with kids using 'learning while playing' method. The artifacts from those workshops such as
drawing, clay, film, documentation, and also lanterns as the main artworks
were displayed in a exhibition as a main event at the alley.
Ilubiung Project #1 has given some
positive effects for Kampung Kreatif's alley. The bottle plastic lanterns that we made
are still on the site, giving warm-yellow-lights and create a nice and warm
atmosphere.
Still using the same playing method for the learning, the residents and us are going to make another light
installation that will beautify our space. But this time we will use materials
and design properly which are more durable and efficient for the space.
Ilubiung Project #2 is a project that held
by Ilubiung Forum, working with Kampung Kreatif Dago Pojok, Komunitas Taboo,
designers, and artists as project participant. This project will presents a light installation also an exhibition contains some artworks from all the participants.
