ILUBIUNG PROJECT: Study Trip: Jatiwangi part 1 of 2

Hello long time no see!

Forgive us, earthling!

No update in this blog did not mean that we were dead, oh no noope.

Sooo, in 26th of November, we are Ilubiung Forum, impulsively went to Jatiwangi to visit the closing ceremony of Ceramics Music Festival (CMF) in Jatiwangi, Majalengka, West Java. This event was organized by Jatiwangi Art Factory, an artist collective in there, more about them à jatiwangiartfactory

Ilubiung forum was represented by SenpaiTanteAlfiyeah, Ajiaji, Uthi DD, Iwannevermovefromhiscorner, Yoga Yoga Yoga, Wingkywing, and mister teguh the explorer.

Jatiwangi is located in Majalengka, around 3 hours from Bandung by car. oh anyway, thanks to yoga, because we used his car for this trip and he was patiently driving us, yoga was the best lah.

we arrived at 2 A.M, good enough to disturb people from their sleeping, heheew. Thanks to our friends in Jatiwangi who had prepared the comfy place for resting, thank you so much guys. although actually, later they said that they prepared a comfy place because they thought that Ilubiung squad will bring many girlsss, but in reality, no, we don't bring any girls. No, no, no, Alfi and Uthi could not be classified.

In the morning, as usual, we overslept. nothing as good as extending your sleep. all of us were sitting in front of the JAF gallery. We met many people there, some just saying "Hi", some having small conversation, and some joined us. Fyi, so many Bule (foreign people) at that time.

There was one dialogue that I remembered in that morning.

some unknown Bule: "Hi, what are you doing, guys?"

Iwan: "Oh, we are just, smoking, uuum.... eating, ...eeeer, and drinking...., coffee"

what a shame, hehehe, while people around us looked hectic with the preparation for the closing ceremony, we just amazed how the preparation of ceremony was going on. there was also, AL a.k.a Ferial Afiff, she was the artist in residency at JAF. she was already part of Ilubiung Squad, under NGILUBINGUNG Division!!! (later, maybe we will discuss about this division, aaand the other freak divisions that you might do not know!).

after doing many (unproductive work), om Arif (The founder of JAF) come to us and maybe he was thinking that we need to be more productive, hehe, so, he gave us a job, and the job was to having discussion about anything with students from Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia. and finally we did something productive that day, lol.

after that, we go to the place where Al did his solo exhibition, titled Teu Walakaya. here are the documentations! I know right, it was magnificent! awwww. The place where the exhibition was held was great, it was in Teracotta Roof Traditional Industry a.k.a Jebor.

After the exhibition tour, we went to Museum Genteng, which was still on progress, and we met PKI a.k.a Pak Kadus Ila. And in the end of conversation, Pak Kadus Ila assigned himself as part of Ilubiung squad under NGILUBINGUNG Division! horaay!
